Abstract
The present investigation is directed to the prevention of the injuries of the throwing shoulder in baseball pitcher’s juvenile category, where the possible postural and motor inaccuracies adopted like causes of traumas and / or painful crises are analyzed, when producing micro traumas in the diverse regions of the shoulder. The objective of the research is to develop a set of prophylactic and therapeutic actions to prevent shoulder injuries in these youth baseball athletes, where balance exercises, strengthening and varied manipulations of contemporary massage therapy are harmoniously combined to promote a better range and joint stability, humeral scapula, contributing to a better efficacy and effectiveness demonstrated by the decrease in the number of injuries. The exploratory, descriptive and practical investigation determined the factors that can affect shoulder injuries. The proposed system was implemented in 12 baseball athletes from the youth category team's launch area at the Provincial Baseball Academy of Santiago de Cuba. The results achieved accounted for the impact of the proposal, which was corroborated by the athletes themselves and the pedagogical medical team that intervened in the study. The research methods used were of the theoretical level: analysis and synthesis, inductive-deductive and functional structural systemic. From the empirical level observation, measurement and specialist criteria, interview and survey techniques. Concluding that injuries derived from tissue damage and the onset of symptoms, are detected in a timely manner to avoid more complex secondary lesions.
