Abstract

Introduction: The Newaza is a judo position that employs control, locking, and strangulation techniques. Currently, this position is most prominently used in high-level competitive events. Although a methodology exists for addressing its use in the preparation process, it has been determined that there are flaws in its conception, taking into account the contextualization, the current characteristics of the competition style, and new updates to the regulations, as well as the athletes' specific characteristics.

Objective: To develop a methodological alternative aimed at enhancing technical and tactical performance in the Newaza position among cadet category judokas (15-16 years old) at the Cerro Pelado High School.
Materials and methods: Methods and techniques such as analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, documentary analysis, measurement, observation, interviews, a systemic approach, and expert judgment were used, allowing for conclusions related to the theoretical and methodological importance of this alternative.
Results: This proposal draws on experiences in pedagogical practice and the potential offered by contextualizing a sports practice, taking into account the specific characteristics of cadet judokas. It takes into account psychopedagogical and theoretical training aspects for athletes, as well as the use of active teaching methods.
Conclusions: This proposal was presented to a group of specialists, who provided their assessments for its implementation.
