The training and management of human resources at the Cuban Boxing School from the educational conception of Alcides Sagarra Carón

Abstract
Introduction: Professor Alcides Sagarra Carón carried out extensive educational work since his beginnings as the head coach of the national boxing team and leader of the technical group that accompanied him in the technical-tactical preparation of his pupils without deviating from the idea and importance of training in values of his boxers who brought so many achievements to the country in international events. The concepts gradually implemented within the national team were taking the first steps that led and contributed to the formation of the so-called Cuban Boxing School, recognized and admired internationally.
Objective: to assess the contribution of Professor Alcides Sagarra to the training and direction of Cuban boxers from his educational conception. To highlight his contributions to the Cuban School of that sport and to Cuban sport in general from the systematization of his main ideas, experiences, actions and conceptions on educational theory and practice, contained in his work.
Materials and methods: the use of interviews in combination with other theoretical level methods such as historical/logical, analysis/synthesis and inductive/deductive allowed the construction of a chronology of the life and periodization of the work of Alcides Sagarra Carón.
Results: the procedures and strategies that allowed him to scientifically and methodologically structure the Cuban Boxing School, the training and management of human resources of the Cuban Boxing School, being recognized as the father of the Cuban Boxing School, were identified.
Conclusões: a realização deste trabalho permitiu-nos aproximar-nos um pouco mais da figura de Alcides Sagarra e sobretudo dos seus métodos de ensino de forma a garantir a gestão dos seus recursos humanos.
