Practical studies on the physic - technical preparation of the 400 meters hurdles discipline in the 16 - 17 years old category
Main Article Content
Abstract
The object of the research was to apply practical studies in the special physic-technical preparation of the 400 meters hurdles discipline, 16-17 years old category. A diagnostic corroborated that special physical preparation in this discipline needs a change in methodology since its conception is not comprehensive. Besides, in the consulted bibliography there was no explanation of how to integrate the training system tasks, though sports specialists have highlighted its importance to achieve higher levels of physic-technical expertise of athletes whose physic-technical deficiencies do not fit their potential. Various methods and techniques were used to gather information from the sportsmen training program and training plans. They were also used to study the historical evolution of the object of study, and to determine the existent inadequacies in the discipline theory and practice. The results show the feasibility of the practical studies, translated into positive changes in the physic-technical dimension as well as an improvement of athlete´s results.
