Games as didactic resources

Abstract
Cuban universities nowadays need a teaching-learning process that instructs, educates, and develops students; reason why professors most improve their work with new methodological approaches, headed to increase the quality of the professionals´ formation process. This research study proposes games used as didactic resource in the subject Biochemistry of the Physical Culture degree specialty. Its objective is to encourage learning, to consolidate taught contents, to strengthen positive attitudes and values, and to fulfill the objectives of the syllabus. Theoretical methods were used for bibliographic source evaluation. Empirical ones like the pre-experiment allowed to estimate the feasibility of the proposal; observation was used to identify the teaching-learning process regularities in the subject Biochemistry during the initial and final stages of the research; the survey served to state the critic opinion of students, the PNR (positive, negative, recommendations) technique showed the impact the proposal had on students; and the mathematical method was used to process the gathered information. The games involved in the research study were described, noting their appeal and educational playful nature. The study also explains how their experimental application during the school year 2015- 2016 proved the feasibility of the proposal, encouraged learning, consolidated contents of Biochemistry and reinforced students professional behavior.
